Some things for the shop....

Fumbling my way into Illustrator

I was asked to redesign a logo for a guy named Luke Davis. He'd attempted a kind of self-portrait logo, but it obviously isn't quite what he was after, so I have re-worked it a bit whilst also teaching myself adobe illustrator. It's not as easy as it looks :(

Here is the image he sent me

and here is my interpretation of it

We're Opening A Shop!

That's right, myself and my friend Kris Kendal put a deposit on a little space in Affleck's Palace in Manchester today. We'll be selling our artwork, as well as stationary and beastly little gifts...Exciting times!

Glitter Is Litter! (sorry Emma)

"Because of its small size and durable nature, glitter is a persistent environmental pollutant. Glitter is commonly made from[2] copolymer plastics, aluminum foil, titanium dioxide, iron oxides, bismuth oxychloride and other materials. These materials are not readily biodegradable. Being heavier than water, they sink to the bottom of waterways and contribute to toxic sludges. Most glitter is used only briefly by humans. At the end of each use it is showered off, entering waste water systems, or swept up for disposal in landfill. Glitter is not recovered or recycled in any way, 100% of consumption ends up as waste within a short period"

Official Emma Faunt Merchandise

Is it weird to wear a t-shirt with your girlfriend's face on?
Made this t-shirt this morning with dylon fabric paints, it sparkles you know?

At The Bus Stop

It's a bit rough at the moment....Not sure how much more i'd like to do to it though.

A 'Thinking of You' card

For Emma's friend Charlene.
I'd seen a drawing like this, black and white on cardboard, by this chap - http://www.women158.com/

The Only Mostly White One Left

This piece is the only one left unsold from my Mostly White exhibition at Odd at the end of last year. Strange, as it's my favourite. It was originally on sale for £80. I'll take £60 now as times are tough! Acrylic, pastel and ink on canvas. 60x50cm

A Floating Bus!

Not exactly the shot I was looking for, but the best of a very bad bunch. I'm going back out this afternoon to try again. This time with a little tripod. I might also try to set the camera up correctly too :)

In search of a good photo of a bus

I have a painting on the go that needs a bus. A big ol' double decker bus. So i'm off out now to try and photograph one.

Thanks Kris!

for pointing out how to make text 'smooth' on photoshop. can't believe i didn't know that!

Away With The Fae

Logo for Emma's range of prettiful jewellery that can be purchased in her shop on the top floor of Affleck's Palace in Manchester.

Personalised Chocolate Bars!

Painting for Emma

A girl in fluffy boots :)
This one isn't quite finished. I just need to do the fine bits and the details. Unfortunately that is not my strong point. I may ruin this yet!

Emma

Bloody Nose

Roger Lloyd Pack on a train

We saw Roger Lloyd Pack on a train.

Daz as DazMan

This is easily one of the strangest photographs i've ever taken. It shows my friend Daz dressed up as Dazman, his clean-living alter-ego, who goes out at night cleaning tramps' clothes.

Gash

A magazine I will never make. I swear not to watch X-Factor this year.

Big Doodles Jewellery - Coming Soon!

You can't really appreciate the crazy brightness of the orange cards these things are attached to from these scans. Yes, crazy bright.

All individual, handmade, and cool as fuck.

Two Paintings for Kitty

Two paintings I did for Kitty at Christmas time. For her godchildren if I remember correctly. I'm not too keen on the blue one, but the pink one looks alright I think.

A Valley

Ink on an old photograph, scratched with a blade.

Work in progress....

I started this before Valentines day actually, but i haven't decided what to do with it yet.

Donna's Christmas present from Piers
